COVENANT FOR WEDDING CEREMONY

We __________________________________________________ hereafter called "Groom and Bride" hereby enter into covenant with Rev. Donovan Cole hereafter called "Marriage Officer" concerning wedding ceremony scheduled for _____________________________ according to the terms and conditions as detailed in the schedule below:

STARTING TIME OF CEREMONY: The wedding ceremony is scheduled for ________(time)

VENUE: The ceremony will take place at ________________________________(place)

CAUTION FEE: The caution fee is payable to the Marriage Officer by the Groom and Bride two weeks before the wedding date. The caution fee will be refunded to the Groom and Bride at the close of the ceremony if and only if the ceremony begins within ten (10) minutes of the scheduled start time. Arriving on time will not by itself constitute grounds for return of the caution fee. Only a prompt start of the wedding ceremony constitutes grounds for the return of the caution fee.

LATENESS: The ceremony will take place within thirty (30) minutes of the scheduled start. If for any reason, it has not begun, the ceremony will take place the following Monday morning at 9:00 am in the office of the Marriage Officer. The Groom and Bride will invite two witnesses to be present. The official date of marriage for legal purposes will be the said day of signing in the office.

WEDDING FEE: The wedding fee will be paid to the church or the Marriage Officer, and will cover the preparation of legal papers, the marriage ceremony, and depositing of certificates to the Registrar General's Department.

NOTA BENE: Please note that pre-marital counselling is required, and is available through a number of qualified and competent sources including Family Life Ministries, 1 Cecelio Avenue, Kingston 10 , Jamaica (Tel 876.926.8101, email fam.life@cwjamaica.com). Rev. Cole may also be available for marital counselling.
